Common Questions
Find quick answers below. Expand each row to read more.
How do I clean my COBB?
The dome, grill grid, fire basket, and inner sleeve are all dishwasher safe! For the outer base, simply wipe it down with a damp cloth and warm soapy water.
What kind of fuel does the COBB use?
COBB offers both gas and charcoal cooking options, depending on the model available in your region. Charcoal models can be used with COBB CobbleStones™ or regular charcoal briquettes, while gas models are designed for convenient outdoor cooking with either LPG or disposable gas canisters.
Availability may differ by country, so please check with your local COBB distributor or store.
How many people can the COBB cook for?
A standard COBB can comfortably cook for up to 4–6 people, depending on what you are cooking. It may be compact, but it is designed to cook full meals outdoors, from grilled meat and vegetables to roasts, breakfasts, sides and more.
With the right accessories, you can cook in layers and prepare more than one part of the meal at a time.
Can I use it indoors?
No. Like any charcoal or solid fuel grill, the COBB produces carbon monoxide and must only be used outdoors in a well-ventilated area.
How hot does the COBB get?
With the dome lid on, the COBB can reach oven-like cooking temperatures, making it suitable for roasting, baking, grilling and more. Exact temperatures may vary depending on the model, fuel type, weather conditions and cooking setup.
What is the difference between the silver and black COBB models?
The main difference is the finish and base material.
Silver: Stainless steel models are a great choice for coastal environments, boating and salt-air conditions.
Black: Black powder-coated models are ideal for camping, caravanning, beach trips and general outdoor use.
Can I use normal charcoal, or do I have to use CobbleStones™?
You can use COBB CobbleStones™ or regular charcoal briquettes in COBB charcoal models. The COBB Grill is extremely fuel efficient giving you 2+ hours of heat with only 8-12 briquettes.
How do I smoke on my COBB?
COBB can be used for smoking, when cooking with the dome lid.
For charcoal models, add soaked wood chips to the charcoal.
Are COBB accessories interchangeable?
Yes. One of the biggest benefits of the COBB system is its range of interchangeable accessories.
By changing the cooking surface or adding accessories, you can grill, roast, bake, fry, smoke, boil and more. This turns one COBB into a complete outdoor cooking system.
Accessory compatibility can vary by model, so please check the product page or ask your local distributor if you are unsure.
Can all COBB accessories fit in the carry bag?
Many COBB accessories are designed to pack neatly with the COBB for easy transport and storage. Some accessories fit inside the COBB, while others may need to be packed separately depending on the model and accessory combination.
